Foreign language training

Two governmental programmes aim to enhance English language training in Korean public schools. The English Program in Korea (EPIK) seeks to foster English skills of primary and secondary students and teachers and to improve teaching materials and methodologies. Native speakers are also invited to teach English in rural areas within the framework of the Teach and Learn in Korea (TaLK) programme. Both programmes are administered by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED).
